My son has struggled with constipation and withholding since infancy because of his prematurity. We already love the Growing Up Prebiotics, so when given a chance to try the Magnesium, we jumped right on it! He wasn't a huge fan of it mixed in water or his mil,k but LOVED it with his drinkable yogurt. We started with a half dose for a few days in order to get used to the product, and the results were amazing. He went every day, and we never argued about withholding! He also did not experience any negative side effects. We will definitely be adding this to our routine!
My 6 year old son has had constipation issues since he turned one. We’ve tried everything; prebiotics, probiotics, magnesium, fiber, etc. He is a very selective eater, so it’s been a struggle to get him to eat or drink specific things, and trying to fix his constipation with just diet alone has been impossible. GI put him on miralax when he was 1 and we’re still on it because it works and he can’t taste it.
Enter Growing Up Magnesium! We started just about a week ago and we’re currently doing one scoop a day (working our way up to 2). It’s pink lemonade flavor, so I’m able to mix it right into some lemonade and my son has no idea! We cut his miralax dose in half the day we started, and he’s had no issues. We love begin health prebiotic and were excited to try the magnesium. We were not disappointed. My daughter thinks I just let her make her own pink lemonade and she loved it.
I can’t say enough good things about this pink lemonade magnesium supplement! As a parent, it’s always a challenge to find something that’s both healthy and kid-approved — but this one is a total winner in our house.
The flavor is a huge hit — it genuinely tastes like pink lemonade, without that artificial aftertaste some supplements have. The flavor is not over powering and very light! My kids actually ask for it, which makes our morning routine so much easier. No more fighting over chalky pills or weird powders.

Overall we’ve been enjoying this new product! My son (5yrs) loves that it’s pink lemonade and enjoys the taste a lot. We’ve been serving it at dinner instead of juice in hopes of the magnesium helping with overnight sleep. We haven’t tried it for long enough to see long term advantages but we’re long time users of Begin Health and trust them 100%. It’s fun to have a new product to try in their line! I really like the taste too! Our only problem (and reason for 1 lower star) has been getting it to fully mix without clumps. We found using a milk frother helps which my son loves using so works for us!
